Favorites in Windows Explorer

Add links from the Recent Locations, In the Navigation Pane

In the top left hand side or the navigation pane in Windows Explorer is a section called ”Recent locations” or Favourites. (These are not to be confused with Internet Explorer Favorites.) This is a handy list of shortcuts to folders or links that you frequently use and are available for easy access. By default, the, Desktop, Downloaded files and last points are listed.
Add your own shortcuts to the list is very simple. One way is to drag a folder and drop it in the list. Another is to open the Links folder and adding shortcuts where.

Library Tool handles Library in Windows 7

Libraries, and Windows 7 is a really useful feature but unfortunately arrive function at a somewhat slimmed-down form. Microsoft has decided against exposing some really useful features for users. Fortunately, you can add network locations and all other UN-indexed locations, but it must be done programmatically.
MS supply a command-line ”slutil.exe”, candidate for the worst named executable. Pretty sure it stands for ”shell_library_util”. A library can display several different folders that can also be on one or multiple servers.

Contig – defrag using the command

Through the program contig.exe you can defragment a specific file such as "Outlook.pst" that usually grow up and defragmented. Save the contig.exe or contig64 file.exe in the same folder as your "outlook.pst" file. If you want, you can create a .bat file in the "Notes" by right click on the background of the folder where the file is located and select – New – Text document.
